Acomb 1 are in Division One and play "home" matches on Thursdays. They  were the York League Division One Champions from 2019 to 2024.  Acomb 2 are also in Division One and also play "home" matches on Thursdays and were the Division One team k/o winners last season..

Acomb Dragons are in Division Two and play "home" matches on Mondays.  Acomb Wizards are also in Division Two and play "home" matches on Thursdays..

21/3 ---  Richard Mounce finished with a 75% record for the 24/25 season & Ric Woodcock had a 73% record.

26/07 ---   YDIBC will be open to take their Annual Subs of £12 from Monday 28/7,  if anyone would like to get it out of the way before it gets busy.  EVERY member whether you are a life member or otherwise will be required to fill a new form in with your information on so we have the latest up to date records for you, please fill the forms in carefully and make sure you have any information about medical conditions and emergencies contacts on there. Please also tick the boxes with regards to photographs and correspondence.

We are holding a club night on Monday 8th September 2025 7.00 pm start at York Indoor Bowls Club, Thanet Road. We look forward to seeing you there.

  • Communicating with members for the purposes of running the chess club, including selecting and organising teams and other chess events.
